ABOUT THE ARTIST/WRITER

"I have been painting and writing since childhood. One of my artistic goals is to re-introduce to the new millennium a Classical view of perfected beauty, and a spiritual reinstatement of hope and awe. It is my belief that significant art, whether visual or literary, must ultimately offer not only newness and skill, but inspiration and soul. If my perceptions bring the viewer to a place of peaceful contemplation and calm delight, then I have achieved my personal calling as an artist. I welcome one and all to my sacred place where Eternal Presence abides; my creative world which I affectionately call Wondershire."      JUDITH LARMAY, October, 2007

Born in a small mill city in the Northeast, Judith Larmay has been creating images most of her life. In the late 1950's she studied painting for three years at Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, and recently, after five more years in academia, has gleaned a Bachelor's degree in Visual Art and Creative Writing from Bradford College, Haverhill, MA.

Painting and writing have been Judith's blessed preoccupations. After a twenty-year pause to marry and raise two daughters, in 1978 her painting spark was rekindled. Larmay has since been producing fine artwork non-stop. After graduation from Bradford College in 1997, she began to write for publication. She lives happily with her husband of forty years; paints, teaches, and sells from her home studio. She is also represented by galleries and agents throughout the United States and the Virgin Islands.

"I believe my artistry is a mysterious and demanding gift that must be nurtured" says Judith Larmay. "Like the Hound of Heaven, images and literary ideas pursue me and will not let go until they enter the world of canvas and/or the written page.  She continues, "Wonder abounds. All is holy ground, tendered by a mighty and loving Hand. I am on assignment:

"It is just that way for me."
